Tribal Collection Review RemarksJim Enote and Octavius Seowtewa during collection review visit June 10 and 11, 2009 (Events Record “Collection Review: Zuni Tribe, Review 2”): This piece is a water canteen, but it’s form and decorations are both unbalanced. It appears to have been painted quickly or perhaps by someone very young. The designs are also unconventional, as is the use of space. Since it was purchased from C.G. Wallace in 1928, it is possible that the piece was made to look odd on purpose.
