Zuni Collection
Our online collections begin with items from the Pueblo of Zuni. This set reflects the results of the IARC’s unique program known as collection reviews. Starting in 2009, representatives from the Pueblo of Zuni joined forces with IARC staff in ongoing workshops to discuss—and often correct—information for IARC’s records. This process, repeated over the course of six years, documented approximately 1,100 historic works from Zuni within the IARC collection, more than 800 of which now are available to the public through this online collection.
We invite you to explore the historic and contemporary works of pottery, painting, weaving, jewelry and more. Check back often. The IARC will be adding more collection items from other pueblos to our eMuseum over time. We look forward to continuing to share this important resource with you.
