Tribal Collection Review RemarksAccording to the participants in the Acoma collection review visit February 17-19, 2016 (Events Record “Collection Review: Acoma Pueblo Review 5”): The artist of this jar is Jean Sanchez (deceased). This jar is made with commercial clay and paint. The white slip maybe traditional. The interior also appears to be slipped white. The design is a fine line design and the lines are very consistent.
The artist was confirmed via texted photos of her signature on the bottom her pots to her son, Joshua Sanchez. Josh also makes and paints pottery.
