Acoma Collection
The Acoma Collection you will see here is the result of five years of work between the Pueblo of Acoma and the IARC staff in a process we call comprehensive collection reviews. Over the course of the project, a dedicated group of expert Acoma potters and cultural advisors helped IARC staff understand more about pottery construction and design, and also which artworks were alright to share here and which were not. Together, we reviewed approximately 600 works of pottery, textiles, jewelry, and paintings, 499 of which are now available via this online platform.
We continue to work with local pueblos to review collection items so we can share them on our eMuseum. Please check back as we make more of our collection available to the public!
