Tribal Collection Review RemarksAccording to the participants in the Acoma collection review visit November 29-30, and December 1, 2016 (Events Record “Collection Review: Acoma Pueblo Review 7”): This turtle figurine is handmade with traditional materials including the clay and paints and burnished.

Sarah Garcia's maiden name is Trujillo. Her daughter is Donna Chino.

According to the participants in the Acoma collection review visit May 22-24, 2018 (Events Record “Collection Review: Acoma Pueblo Review 11”: This turtle is made from one piece of clay. Donna Chino, Sarah’s daughter, believe she made this sometime in the 1960’s.
