Tribal Collection Review RemarksAccording to the participants in the Acoma collection review visit May 22-24, 2018 (Events Record “Collection Review: Acoma Pueblo Review 11”: This figurine is made with natural traditional materials. The artist of this turtle is Iris Lucario. Her mother, Rebecca Lucario, is a well-known Acoma potter. She was likely around the age of nine when she made this turtle. She confirmed, via a photo that was texted to her, that she did make this. Her sister, Amanda Lucario, who attended this review also confirmed this was Iris’s work.
