DescriptionAholi Katsina. Single piece of cottonwood root carved as a figure, with two legs and feet, two small forearms with hands against body, and a conical head. Mask/head is painted yellow, with two black slits denotating eyes, and a large black triangle pointing downward denoting a mouth. Arcs of color are painted on both sides of the head to which are attached bundles of reddish cotton string. A bundle of feathers is attached at the top point of the head. A white kilt is painted on under a spotted shawl.
