DescriptionBronze sculpture: male figure is standing on left foot with right foot raised in a dance stance. [Unless otherwise noted, the following colors refer to bronze patinas added after the sculpture was cast]. Under left foot is a green and black stone-like piece (also bronze). Under entire piece is a wooden circular base two inches thick and eleven inches in diameter. His brown moccasins have black bottoms, three turquoise buttons on the sides, and a red band on top. The figure's legs are yellow with broad green stripes. He is wearing a black dance kilt with four small crosses in different colors (red, white, yellow, blue) on front. The back of the kilt has three small crosses (red, white, yellow). There is a red sash and a reddish pouch on the figure's right side. The torso and arms are also yellow with broad green stripes. He is holding a bowl that is gold on the inside with a red band near the top; the outside of bowl is off white. On both wrists are strands of red leather [real leather vs. bronze sculpted to look like leather] hanging down like fringe. He is wearing a raised necklace-two turquoise strands. The face is uplifted and the lips have a reddish tinge. Eyebrows are black. Earrings are turquoise. Hair is black and tied in two bun-like knots. Cornhusks (real husks vs. bronze ones) that are five inches long come out of the buns and are wrapped near head with black yarn (real yarn).
