Tribal Collection Review RemarksAccording to the participants in the Isleta collection review visit May 2 3, 2022 (Events Record “Collection Review: Isleta Collection Review 2"): The artist, Stella Teller, stated that this vase was made using clay from Arizona. It is hand formed using the coil method and the turtle was made separately and attached later. The slip and clay were well sifted as there is no visible pitting. The beige colored slip on the exterior is stone polished. The brown color is from rock paint. The design on the exterior includes a corn stalk, with rain designs.
