The eyes are carved, curved lines, painted in with brown slip. The mouth is a small round hole, with a raised circle for the lips, which is also painted with brown slip. The face is framed by two bun whorls. The figure wears a several-strand, plastic bead "turquoise" necklace. The figure's dress starts as a band of tan, then a band of orange. The body portion of the sculpture is the natural tan color of the clay. The ruffles of the skirt are painted with peach-colored slip, tan micaceous slip, and orange slip. The base of the piece is the natural color of the clay.
