DescriptionA pueblo puki eight inches in diameter. A utilitarian object used to construct the base of a pot. This puki was probably the base of a pottery jar, and is lined with a thick coating of grayish clay. In the center is a raised section of reddish clay (used to make the concave base). The lower layer (per Dwight Lanmon) may be Pueblo IV or later; the inner (red) clay is probably historic.
