DescriptionCarved channel inlay, three feather design. Includes silver, mother of pearl, jet and turquoise. Appears to have had a face at one time in the arch between the feathers, but it is now missing. Glue is visible where the face was glued to the silver frame.
Tribal Collection Review RemarksOctavius Seowtewa during collection review visit February 17 and 18, 2010 (Events Record “Collection Review: Zuni Tribe, Review 4”): This piece appears to have depicted a dancer’s face with a feather headdress, but the face is now missing. There is glue visible where the face would have been glued to the silver frame. The materials used are silver, mother of pearl, jet, and turquoise.
