DescriptionAcoma polychrome owl figurine; four-color; cream slipped with black and gray markings. The feathers, feet, tail are detailed in black. The eyes are gray and black and the beak is orange. Red beak, flat base with hole.
Tribal Collection Review RemarksAccording to the participants in the Acoma collection review visit June 26-27, 2017 (Events Record “Collection Review: Acoma Pueblo Review 9”): The participants believe the maker of this owl could be Cecelia Garcia. She was from Acoma but married into Laguna. Nothing more was said about this owl figurine.
