DescriptionChannel inlay bolo tie with Plains Fancy Dancer design. Turquoise in shields incised; outline of face in relief. Materials include silver, jet, turquoise, mother of pearl, coral, abalone, and leather.
Tribal Collection Review RemarksJim Enote and Octavius Seowtewa during collection review visit December 7 and 8, 2010 (Events Record “Collection Review: Zuni Tribe, Review 5”): The materials used are silver, turquoise, jet, coral, abalone, mother of pearl, an unknown brown shell, plastic aluminum, and leather. The technique used is raised channel inlay. The figure is a Fancy Dancer. The face and feathers are done in relief. The face and other skin parts are made of an unknown shell. Plastic aluminum is used as filler in the pattern on the breechcloth.
