DescriptionAcoma polychrome bean pot; three-color; red slip with white and brown painted decoration. The design consists of white flowers with brown centers and white leaf motifs around the body. The neck has a coil attached with indentions on it. The base is flat.
Tribal Collection Review RemarksAccording to the participants in the Acoma collection review visit June 26-27, 2017 (Events Record “Collection Review: Acoma Pueblo Review 9”): This is a bean pot form. The entire jar is slipped orange and the design is painted white and brown. The clay is the typical Acoma white colored clay. This can be seen in the chip in the rim.
