DescriptionWooden, natural branch formation utilized to form three-pronged fork. Wood has been peeled and smoothed.
Tribal Collection Review RemarksAccording to the participants in the Acoma collection review visit May 22-24, 2018 (Events Record “Collection Review: Acoma Pueblo Review 11”: This pitchfork would be used to thresh wheat. One of the participants said these pitchforks were made from a branch of a large bushe or oak. Usually no shaping is done but rather the branch is shaved and used as is.
