DescriptionAcoma polychrome small bowl; three-color; white slipped exterior with black and orange painted decoration. The design consists of a double headed thunder bird design with black and orange triangular motifs. The design extends down to the base of the bowl.
Tribal Collection Review RemarksAccording to the participants in the Acoma collection review visit May 9-11, 2017 (Events Record “Collection Review: Acoma Pueblo Review 8”): The bird in the design on this bowl is a double headed thunder bird. It looks similar to those found on IAF.1149 and IAF.1206. It could be that all three were either made or painted by the same artist or family.
