Tribal Collection Review RemarksAccording to the participants in the Acoma collection review visit November 29-30, and December 1, 2016 (Events Record “Collection Review: Acoma Pueblo Review 7”): This plate handmade with natural traditional materials. Dolores Lewis Garcia, Lucy’s daughter, does not believe this is her mother’s work. She stated that her mother did not paint this style of negative/positive design.
This piece is not signed with a name. The participants believe that “Acoma" was added post-firing and it does not appear to be the black mineral paint.
