Tribal Collection Review RemarksAccording to the participants in the Acoma collection review visit February 17-19, 2016 (Events Record “Collection Review: Acoma Pueblo Review 5”): This bowl is made with traditional Acoma materials. Dolores Lewis Garcia stated that this was a commissioned piece her mother, Lucy, called “Flute Player”. The person who commissioned this piece showed Lucy a drawing and asked her to do a design like that on the bowl. Brian Vallo stated that the figures remind him of a petroglyph he saw in Southern California.
