Tribal Collection Review RemarksJim Enote and Octavius Seowtewa during collection review visit December 7 and 8, 2010 (Events Record “Collection Review: Zuni Tribe, Review 5”): The materials used are abalone (cow’s head pendant), snail shells (possibly cone shell), unknown white shell, olivela (heishi), turquoise, an unknown orange shell (not spiny oyster because it is iridescent on one side and spiny oyster is not iridescent), unknown blackish stone, and possibly conch shell (the bird carving). Mr. Seowtewa confirmed that the piece is Zuni because of the animal carvings on it.
