DescriptionClam shell or olivela heishi, seven conch shell bits, twelve turquoise tab beads, two turquoise-colored glass tube beads near tie in back, three glass coral beads, twelve beads of irregular brown/white shell. Strung on cotton.
Tribal Collection Review RemarksJim Enote and Octavius Seowtewa during collection review visit December 7 and 8, 2010 (Events Record “Collection Review: Zuni Tribe, Review 5”): The materials used are white clam shell, coral (red beads), olivela (heishi beads), mother of pearl, turquoise, pink mussel, glass, conch (largest pendant, at the bottom of the necklace), and cowrie shells. The current catalog description is correct.
