DescriptionBull's head carved from turquoise, red coral eyes, mounted in silver halter, horns tipped with silver. Curly hair on top of bull's head made of oval silver plate shaped to the bull's head. Silver chain with eight links attached to link welded to top of bull's silver hair plate.
Tribal Collection Review RemarksJim Enote and Octavius Seowtewa during collection review visit December 7 and 8, 2010 (Events Record “Collection Review: Zuni Tribe, Review 5”): The materials used in this item are silver, turquoise, and coral. The current catalog Item Name says this piece is called a “cow’s head.” There is no way to tell if this is meant to represent a cow or a bull.
