DescriptionApache Crown Dancer, Mountain Spirit design. The silver is stamped. The inlay technique used is mosaic inlay. No strap or tips. Materials used are silver, turquoise, jet, mother of pearl, tortiseshell, spiny oyster, and white mussel shell. Letters "EUZR" scratched on back.
Tribal Collection Review RemarksOctavius Seowtewa during collection review visit February 17 and 18, 2010 (Events Record “Collection Review: Zuni Tribe, Review 4”): The technique used for this piece is mosaic inlay. The materials used are silver, turquoise, jet, mother of pearl, tortoiseshell, white mussel, and spiny oyster. The catalog card states that abalone shell is used in this piece, but this is incorrect. The piece is held in position on the leather braid by a metal clasp on the back.
