Tribal Collection Review RemarksJim Enote and Octavius Seowtewa during collection review visit April 6 and 7, 2009 (Events Record “Collection Review: Zuni Tribe, Review 1”): This cornmeal bowl was made to resemble a medicine water bowl, but the sides flare more than they should for this type of bowl and people wouldn't be able to drink from it. The piece is of a type that is used in ceremony, but not the type of ceremony that requires the piece be kept off public view. It is alright to use this piece for research and in publications, no special handling or storage.
