Tribal Collection Review RemarksAccording to the participants in the Acoma collection review visit May 9-11, 2017 (Events Record “Collection Review: Acoma Pueblo Review 8”): The interior of this bowl has scrape marks and is shiny from use as a food serving bowl. The shininess was likely caused by fat/grease in the food it carried. This bowl is similar to IAF.1123, and it's possible that it came from the same household.

Note: The shape of the sculpted rim on bowls may be to help prevent cracks from forming during firing and use.
