DescriptionAko polychrome bowl; three-color; orange slip with black curvilinear decoration along out side rim, convex base. Band of black split-feather motifs on a pink surface. Feather pattern similar to IAF.1032.
Tribal Collection Review RemarksAccording to the participants in the Acoma collection review visit June 3-5, 2015 (Events Record “Collection Review: Acoma Pueblo, Review 2”): The bowl is heavy and has become discolored. Pearl Valdo stated these are signs of the bowl becoming petrified. Not much more was said about this bowl.
