Tribal Collection Review RemarksAccording to the participants in the Acoma collection review visit November 29-30, and December 1, 2016 (Events Record “Collection Review: Acoma Pueblo Review 7”): This plate is handmade with traditional materials including the clay and paints. It was also fired outdoors which is evident in the discoloration of the orange.

According to the participants in the Acoma collection review visit May 22-24, 2018 (Events Record “Collection Review: Acoma Pueblo Review 11”): The artist, Sarah Garcia, is Donna Chino’s mother. This plate, also called a pin tray, is very light. The design could be a variation of a thunder bird.
