Tribal Collection Review RemarksOctavius Seowtewa during collection review visit Nov. 16 and 17, 2009 (Events Record “Collection Review: Zuni Tribe, Review 3”): The “Zuni Indian School” referred to on the back of the painting was most likely the Zuni Day School. The designs are cloud designs with lightening. The many-colored triangular stepped designs are the clouds, while the black stepped designs between the clouds are representations of lightning.
