Tribal Collection Review RemarksAccording to the participants in the Acoma collection review visit June 3-5, 2015 (Events Record “Collection Review: Acoma Pueblo, Review 2”): The jar has four repeating stepped design panels. Turkey tracks are on the neck of the jar. It is possible that the artist is from the Turkey clan. Pearl Valdo suggested that the shine of the black slip came from pine tree sap. The sap would be applied just after the firing.
