Tribal Collection Review RemarksJim Enote and Octavius Seowtewa during collection review visit April 6 and 7, 2009 (Events Record “Collection Review: Zuni Tribe, Review 1”): The person on the left is being sprinkled with water before starting to dance or play the flute. This takes place during night dances and it must be done before the dancing and flute playing can begin. The leggings worn by the figure on the left are not an accurate depiction of buckskin leggings. The painting may be made available to anyone for research, photography, and publication. It has no special handling or storage requirements.
