DescriptionBrown corrugated jar. Semi-matte finish with indented coil neck. Jar with corrugated neck band entirely slipped red and reduced in firing to brown.
Tribal Collection Review RemarksAccording to the participants in the Acoma collection review visit June 26-27, 2017 (Events Record “Collection Review: Acoma Pueblo Review 9”): The finish of this jar resembles copper. The color was achieved in the firing, however it is not clear if it was intentional or not. It was not common for the artist to incise her pieces. The inside of this jar is completely smooth. The coils cannot be felt.
