Tribal Collection Review RemarksOctavius Seowtewa during collection review visit February 17 and 18, 2010 (Events Record “Collection Review: Zuni Tribe, Review 4”): This is a pin made from a silver dollar. The silver dollar was made in 1923. The technique used is cluster style. Two silver plates are soldered together to make the backing. The materials used are silver and turquoise. The use of coins to make jewelry like this was in style in the 1950s and 1960s.
