DescriptionAcoma polychrome jar; three-color; white slip, orange and black painted decoration. The design consists of an orange square around opening with four repeated design units around body. Each unit has scrolls and feathers in black and orange. Flat white base. Wide-mouthed jar.
Tribal Collection Review RemarksAccording to the participants in the Acoma collection review visit June 26-27, 2017 (Events Record “Collection Review: Acoma Pueblo Review 9”): The shape of the rim was achieved by pulling the clay inward and not up. This jar is in excellent condition for its age. Nothing more was said about this jar.
