Tribal Collection Review RemarksAccording to the participants in the Acoma collection review visit May 22-24, 2018 (Events Record “Collection Review: Acoma Pueblo Review 11”: This jar is very light. The exterior shows wear from handling and use as a water jar. The interior of the jar also has stains from storing water. This jar may have been made with another type of clay found at Acoma, which is more of a course clay, known as ‘yow-pah-tra’. The design on this jar is similar to IAF.2952 and IAF1367.
