Tribal Collection Review RemarksOctavius Seowtewa during collection review visit February 17 and 18, 2010 (Events Record “Collection Review: Zuni Tribe, Review 4”): The description for this piece says it is made of shell; however that may not be correct. The piece is quite heavy for its size, and there are no striations visible in the material, as there would be if it were shell. It is likely the piece is made from stone. Also, though somewhat abstract, the piece is in the shape of a bird.
