Tribal Collection Review RemarksAccording to the participants in the Acoma collection review visit May 22-24, 2018 (Events Record “Collection Review: Acoma Pueblo Review 11”): This is a paddle used to get bread loaves in and out of an outdoor oven. This paddle does not appear to be used. The paddle end would be burnt or black and the handle would also have been burnt or black from use. The end of the paddle is too short. Normally they are longer to prevent the user coming into contact with too much heat.
