DescriptionAcoma polychrome turkey bank; three-color; white slip with brown painted feathers on body. Yellow drops and circles with brown dots inside the feathers. Globular in shape with molded head and tail extending outward. Narrow slot, 7/8" long on top of body.
Tribal Collection Review RemarksAccording to the participants in the Acoma collection review visit November 29-30, and December 1, 2016 (Events Record “Collection Review: Acoma Pueblo Review 7”): This turkey bank is handmade with traditional natural materials and was fired outdoors. The yellow slip on this turkey is not widely used anymore. Not much more was said about this turkey bank.
