Tribal Collection Review RemarksAccording to the participants in the Tesuque collection review visit March 9-10, 2020 (Events Record “Collection Review: Tesuque Pueblo Review 2"): This jar has damage from use as a water jar which is evident in losses at the rim. The design is well executed and the slip is polished well. It is apparent the artist took their time while painting. The bird in the design around the neck could be a rain bird. There is a band of red slip around the uslipped polished base. The brown at the base is the natural color of the clay.
