Tribal Collection Review RemarksAccording to the participants in the Acoma collection review visit June 3-5, 2015 (Events Record “Collection Review: Acoma Pueblo, Review 2”): The indentations on this pot may have been used to lift the pot. Dolores Lewis Garcia suggested that this pot may have been left during migration. Cubero, where the pot was excavated, is about 10-15 miles northeast of Acoma. Not much more was said about this jar. Brian Vallo noted that the area in which the jar was excavated is known as the Acoma Cultural Provence.
