DescriptionAcoma polychrome bowl; three-color; white slip with brown and orange painted decoration. The design is a thunderbird with two heads in orange and black on interior and undecorated white exterior.
Tribal Collection Review RemarksAccording to the participants in the Acoma collection review visit June 26-27, 2017 (Events Record “Collection Review: Acoma Pueblo Review 9”): Pearl Valdo’s mother, Clara (Martin) Victorino painted designs like this during the same time this bowl was made. She cannot say for sure if it is her mother’s, but she knows that her mother really liked painting the thunderbird design.
