Tribal Collection Review RemarksJim Enote and Octavius Seowtewa during collection review visit December 7 and 8, 2010 (Events Record “Collection Review: Zuni Tribe, Review 5”): The materials used are silver, tortoiseshell, turquoise, spiny oyster, jet (in the eye), and leather. The previous catalog description said there was abalone, but this was incorrect. The technique used is channel inlay. The figure is a standing grizzly bear. The pendants hanging from the end of the tips are in the shape of bear paws. The piece does not have a hallmark on the back.
