Tribal Collection Review RemarksJim Enote and Octavius Seowtewa during collection review visit Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, 2011 (Events Record “Collection Review: Zuni Tribe, Review 7”): The materials used are silver, jet, coral, spiny oyster, white clam shell, turquoise, and plastic aluminum. Some of the turquoise may be enhanced. There are four silver drops at the bottom of each face. The technique is channel inlay. The red in SAR.1989-7-273A is coral, while in SAR.1989-7-273B it is spiny oyster. Some plastic aluminum was used in the gaps between the stones and the silver channels. The catalog description said these cufflinks are in the shape of kokko faces, but they are Sun Faces, so this should be changed.
