DescriptionZuni channel inlay necklace with an Apache Crown Dancer design. Materials used include silver, tortoiseshell, coral, turquoise, abalone and mother of pearl. The necklace has seven pendants, six of them are 3.7 cm. (1.5 in.) long, with a center pendant that is 5.8 cm. (2.25 in.) long. The necklace also has fifty-four handmade silver beads strung on a chain.
Tribal Collection Review RemarksJim Enote and Octavius Seowtewa during collection review visit December 7 and 8, 2010 (Events Record “Collection Review: Zuni Tribe, Review 5”): The materials used are silver tortoiseshell, coral, turquoise, abalone, and mother of pearl (the “white shell” mentioned in the current catalog description). The figures are Apache Crown Dancers (Gan Dancers). The pin is missing a stone, which was probably jet, from one of the feathers.
