Tribal Collection Review RemarksJim Enote and Octavius Seowtewa during collection review visit December 7 and 8, 2010 (Events Record “Collection Review: Zuni Tribe, Review 5”): The materials used in these dress ornaments are silver and turquoise. Though the current catalog description calls these “pins,” it should be changed to call them “clothing ornaments.” They could have been used for either men’s or women’s clothing. They would have been tied on to clothing through the holes in the silver border around the turquoise.
