DescriptionGraphic and precisely painted vignette; grey jack rabbit on its side with all legs stretched out, black tipped ears, facing left. Upper side is gory with blood below the neck, head, and belly. Hawk stands on the rabbit's back with a long strip extending from the hawk's beak to the rabbit. The hawk's tail is spread, hangs down, and is distinctly barred. There are thin washes of color on both the rabbit and the hawk.
