DescriptionA miniature doll, female, seated on a fossilized whalebone vertebra bench, making a walrus stomach basket. Also sitting on the bench are another walrus stomach basket, to the doll's left, and a work basket with miniature tools, to the doll's right. The doll is dressed in traditional Athabaskan female clothing made from a variety of animal skins and furs and decorated with very small glass beads in several colors. The doll is stuffed with baleen shavings. It also has a heart inside it that is sewn from walrus stomach and contains an Alaskan gold nugget, a piece of fossilized mammoth ivory, and a piece of obsidian.
