DescriptionA bolo tie with a Rainbow (Amidolanne in Zuni language) figure in raised mosaic inlay. The silver drops on the slide are commercial manufacture (because they are very uniform). Bolo tie is leather with silver tips.
Tribal Collection Review RemarksJim Enote and Octavius Seowtewa during collection review visit February 16 and 17, 2011 (Events Record “Collection Review: Zuni Tribe, Review 6”): The design is of Rainbow; this figure is called Amidolanne in Zuni. The silver drops used in the piece are very uniform because are of commercial manufacture. The materials used are silver, turquoise, coral, jet, mother of pearl, gold lip, and turtle shell. There are three pieces of turtle shell; they are very dark and easily confused with jet, but they are not jet. The tie tips are handmade of silver.
