DescriptionLarge Tewa polychrome bowl with slightly concave base, slightly curving underbody, and straight to slightly concave upperbody. The decorated upperbody is separated from the red underbody by an angular keel. The underbody, interior, and flat rim are covered with a red slip; the upperbody exhibits a black-on-white design of black vegetal matte paint applied over a white slip. The upperbody decoration is bound by single framing lines, and consists of five consecutive sets of solid and hatched triangles separated by diagonal lines and two consecutive sets of curved and hatched triangular motifs.
