Tribal Collection Review RemarksAccording to the participants in the Acoma collection review visit April 22-24, 2015 (Events Record “Collection Review: Acoma Pueblo, Review 1”): The cloth is very fine and was probably woven by a skilled weaver. The embroidery design is very detailed and similar to pottery designs, which is characteristic of Acoma textiles. Tassels represent rain. There are corn husks inside of the tassels, which are simply meant to give it shape and can sometimes be shaped like a ball.
