Tribal Collection Review RemarksJim Enote and Octavius Seowtewa during collection review visit December 7 and 8, 2010 (Events Record “Collection Review: Zuni Tribe, Review 5”): The materials used are silver, mother of pearl, coral, turquoise, cowrie shell, tortoiseshell, melon shell, and leather. The silver tips are commercially made. The figure is a Hoop Dancer. The artist, Jay Iule (name spelled incorrectly in current catalog description), is the son of Horace Iule, who is known for cast silver jewelry.
